About
Founded in September 2023, the Boston Chapter of the Society of Decision Professionals aims to unite professionals who are passionate about elevating the standards and implementation of decision science in the local industry and community. Our mission is to foster a robust network of decision professionals and enthusiasts across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, financial services, and energy.
Our Vision
We strive to:
- Share cutting-edge knowledge and advance the capacity of decision quality (DQ).
- Increase awareness and practical applications of decision science and related methodologies within the Boston area.
- Create a vibrant, interdisciplinary community of practice that supports professional growth and innovation.
Purpose
- Encourage Interest: Promote and sustain interest in decision quality, especially through the application of decision science and complementary methods.
- Facilitate Communication: Offer a dynamic platform for individuals interested in decision quality to connect and exchange ideas.
- Share Knowledge: Disseminate information about the methodologies and techniques of decision quality to enhance professional practice.
- Expand Membership: Actively grow our membership base to reflect a diverse range of industries, reinforcing our interdisciplinary approach to decision quality.
Meetings
- Chapter Meetings: We hold bimonthly meetings on Tuesdays after 5:30 PM. Specific details and agendas for each meeting will be announced in advance to ensure optimal participation.
- Board Meetings: Convened bimonthly or as necessary to strategize and oversee chapter activities.
